Monday 28 December 2020 to 1 January 2021
Welcome to our information page for the online Australasian Sanskrit Week. The Week is open to current students of the Schools of Philosophy in Australia and New Zealand who are aged a minimum of 18 years, practise mantra meditation and have attended at least one weekend residential held by their School of Philosophy.
Each year a residential Sanskrit week is held during the Australasian summer. Philosophy students from New Zealand and Australia are able to spend time in the company of like-minded people studying this most powerful and ancient language. The week caters for beginners as well as for those with greater experience of Sanskrit.
The event has been held every year for 30 years and now for the first time it will be held online. All the usual activities involved in the residential week are still possible, even without leaving the comfort of your own home. There is the opportunity for quiet study, practice, reflection and discussion on the Katha Upanishad 1.2.20 – 1.2.22. We will be led by Mrs Dianne Kruger from Perth, assisted by an Australasian tutoring staff along with international speakers.
Enrolments & Registration
The fee for the week is $100 if paid by 31 October, 2020, and $150 thereafter. Registrations will close on November 30.
